Zinald Ecommerce Limited t/a Plaxim eCommerce is an Online Shopping Mall that connects buyers in the United Kingdom to purchase different products categories ranging from Home Accessories, Bags & Fashion, Electronics, Sports, Appliance, Computers Furnitures, Business & Office Suppliers and more collections. This connection happens through our software system which is currently Woo-Commerce shopping cart. However, before a product is bought, a customer is required to register and create an account with us. This happens through our software login system. While registering and checking out, the necessary information for shipment are provided by the customer which are later sent to our shipping agencies. Currently, we use UKMail, ParcelForce, Yodel, UPS, FedEx, DX Freight and DPD for shipping our products. Our goal is to make your shopping experience safe, convenient, and worry-free.
Based on the explanation above, Plaxim eCommerce is a data controller in the sense that the data are provided to us directly and we use these data to process the orders placed by our customers.

What kind of personal data do we process or collect & how do we use it?

We collect the users data during order processing, this data is then given to the shipping couriers to fulfil the users purchase.

What we collect and why?

We provide every user (whether customer/internal staff) with a unique login to access the system as part of our contractual agreements or consent. To do this, we ask for name, address, phone numbers, email address. We then use this data to ensure there is an audit trail of activity on the site (for example which users are changing what information). This ensures we have visibility of who is using the system from a data security perspective. Every time, we check to see whether users are still logging in and if they are not, we exercise our retention period of 6 months before deletion. In addition, and to fulfil our contractual obligations, we may need to email Zinald eCommerce users from time-to-time using their email address, either to make them aware of an update to Plaxim activities or latest promotional discounts or changes to their newsletter subscriptions.
